Darth Sidious vs. Lord Voldemort
If one day their paths happened to cross, and tempers flared, in your honest opinion who do you think would prevail, and remain the ultimate dark lord?
Darth Sidious, a.k.a. The Emperor, is a horrendously powerful tyrant from the Star Wars Saga. A political mastermind, he uses both devious and ruthlessly vile methods to enslave a galaxy, and crushes all who stand against him. “Fear will keep the local systems in line” his servants would say, as he ruled with an iron fist. He wields his power by using the Dark Side of the Force, in which he has the ability to manipulate objects and generate bolt lightning. These abilities denote his superior combat skills, where he can throw objects of endlessly increasing size and strength effortlessly, and at full force. His bolt lightning is an unbelievable “force” to be reckoned with and has burned many a jedi, including Master Yoda who realised “he’d lost the battle before it began”. His swordsmanship is “light years” away from many, with his ability to handle a lightsaber, a weapon boasting both power and speed. These endlessly incredible powers of the force not only enable physical brilliance in combat, but the ability to strongly influence the minds of his enemies and followers alike, proving Sidious to be a very controlling master, and one who can orchestrate the demise of many.
VS.
Lord Voldemort is a sinister, serpent like sorcerer from the Harry Potter series who possesses unforgivable curses, and desires no need for human companionship. A raging psychopath devoid of the normal human responses to other peoples suffering, he has the ability to read minds as well as shield his own from penetration. In an attempt to become immortal, he splits his soul into seven, making him seven times harder to overcome. His unforgivable curses include the Cruciatus Curse, a curse which requires no need for items of physical torture, due to the fact it creates unbearable pain to the victim in itself. A more powerful curse is the Imperius Curse, one which gives complete control over the victim, making the victim subjectable to any demands of the caster. The third and most evil curse of all is the killing curse of Avada Kaedavra. This causes a jet of green light which results in instant death to the victim, the only known survivor thus far being the infamous Harry Potter.
This hypothetical scenario takes place at the “Birds Nest” Olympic Stadium in Beijing (The National Stadium of China). The stands are filled with the most knowledgeable science-fiction & fantasy fans the world has ever known, with the media hounding them, like a pack of “hounds”. Each supreme lord is equipped with his full-repertoire of attack and defence moves, and necessary weaponry as seen in their films (e.g. light-saber, wand). The scenario has arisen due to each lords inseparable power, finesse and elegance, and it is evident that only a heated argument and debate can lead us to a reasoned conclusion of who is the most powerful.
It is a significantly difficult question. Two mind-readers, two supremely powerful dark lords of their respective film series, and the conflict can be described as the Dark Side of the Force vs. the Magic of Wizardry. We ask you, the fans and fanatics to ponder this big question: who will prevail in a stadium battle of epic proportions, between Darth Sidious and Lord Voldemort.
